InterContinental Hotels Group has enhanced its Meet with
Confidence meeting safety programme, including adding elements from its IHG Way
of Clean safety and cleanliness measures that were expanded in May, the company
announced.
Additional steps for meetings include configuring event
spaces for social distancing and using outdoor spaces where possible,
disinfecting tables and chairs before every meeting and during breaks, managing
attendee flow with signage and staggered breaks where possible, arranging hand
sanitiser stations throughout meeting spaces, adding technology solutions that
support virtual and hybrid meetings, and applying enhanced food-handling and
service guidelines.
IHG also has extended its limited-time offer of no
cancellation fees, no attrition fees for rooms that are not booked, up to a 5
per cent rebate toward the master bill, short-form contracts and IHG Business
Rewards points appliable for standard qualified bookings. The deal applies to
bookings of ten to 50 rooms on peak, with or without meeting space, at
participating hotels when booked before 31 December 2020 for meeting or stay
dates by 30 June 2021.
