American Express Meetings & Events, a division of
American Express Global Business Travel, has partnered with meetings technology
platform Bizzabo to expand the travel management company's virtual meetings
offerings.
Through Amex's Meetings Marketplace, clients have immediate
access to Bizzabo, which is being offered with an event-level pricing model.
"As the global business community emerges from the
pandemic, there are new risks and complexities associated with meetings and
events," said GBT SVP of marketing and general manager of meetings and
events Gerardo Tejado in a statement. "Choosing a technology and service
supplier that has been vetted and tested is more important than ever,
especially given the explosive growth in meetings and events technology and
services over the past 18 months."
The news comes on the heels of Bizzabo's announcement
earlier this week that it has acquired its fourth company in six months,
wearable technology firm Klik.
