World Travel, a US-based company founded in 1983 to provide corporations with travel programmes, has joined one of the world”s largest TMCs (travel management companies), RADIUS.
Headquartered in Pennsylvania, World Travel operates 81 offices and six reservation centres throughout the US, with an annual turnover of $450m (”218m) in sales. It now joins RADIUS” network of 92 travel management companies, which operate in 80 countries worldwide and turnover approximately ”19bn each year.
”We are joining one of the best travel management organisations to further our international capabilities and service worldwide,” said World Travel president and CEO, James Wells.
”As part of that effort we will be working to expand our collaboration with our RADIUS partners, who effectively work together to create a common global travel management platform to provide important strategic value to our clients. The business management principles, corporate cultures and approach to business development strategies are very well aligned.”
World Travel focuses on mid-market travel management, although it also provides meetings and incentives and leisure services. Under its partnership it will continue to expand the business and open in new markets, including multinational accounts.
