More than 65% of people who work in the business travel industry are female, a new survey has revealed.
The Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC) surveyed its members, and found that nearly 65% of senior management teams are also made up of women.
Anne Godfrey, the GTMC’s CEO, said: “A typical business travel employee is female, aged between 35 and 44, works full time, has been with the same company for at least five years and has a very good chance of being in a management position!”
People who work in business travel also tend to be loyal to their employers, according to the survey.
More than 30% had been with a company for between six and 15 years, while 14% had racked up more than 15 years.
