Wings Travel Management today (September 5) announced the launch of its Asia Pacific operation in Singapore.
The TMC said the move marked its entrance into the expanding Asia Pacific market.
Wings which specialises in the oil and gas, marine and financial sectors, said the move was a “significant step…in its global expansion plans.”
The company has appointed Sonja Hamman, currently its director of operations for the UK and Europe, to lead its operation in the region.
Hamman said: “AsiaPacific has been the missing dot on the Wings ’map’ and opening an operation in this region gives us a truly global presence.
“Having a Wings team on the ground in Singapore, which is a key area for financial services and the oil and gas industry, will allow us to improve our service offering to our clients even further.”
Tony Sofianos, Wings’ ceo, described Singapore as a “strong market” and added: “The expansion will enable us to provide complete support and travel solutions to the needs of the region.”
