US TMC Travel and Transport has announced the acquisition of global company Radius Travel.
Travel and Transport is a founding member of the Radius Travel network, which is today made up of more than 100 agencies worldwide.
The company says the acquisition will deliver “global data consolidation” and “greater buying power”, which will benefit customers.
The deal follows Travel and Transport’s 2017 acquisition of London-based TMC Statesman Travel. Previous purchases include Ultramar Travel Management and an investment in Derpart in Germany and Switzerland, as well as the opening of a Travel and Transport office in Lyon.
Travel and Transport also launched a big data solutions company called DVI in 2017.
Shannon Hyland, current president and CEO of Radius Travel, will assume the role of senior vice president of global services for Travel and Transport. Kieran Hartwell, currently CCO, has been promoted to president of Radius Travel.
Radius Travel will continue to operate out of its global headquarters in Bethesda, Maryland.
