TMC Travel Counsellors has announced strong annual sales growth for the year ending October 31 2014.
Speaking at the Travel Counsellor’s annual conference in Manchester, managing director Steve Byrne said the company’s global sales were up £428 million from £385 million the previous year.
The UK arm of the business grew by 11 per cent in the past year for its leisure and business travel divisions, with growth of 53 per cent over the last five years.
The company revealed repeat business levels of 95% for business travel customers and 70% for leisure customers. Byrne also outlined plans for growth over the next five years focusing on enhanced marketing and brand awareness, improved margins, corporate travel and international expansion.
“As a company we’ve continued to see extraordinary growth which is testament to the passion and dedication of our people” Byrne told delegates.
“We’ve created a safe place for talented travel professionals to grow their business, offering the support and guidance to be the very best travel professionals in the industry.”
Earlier this year Travel Counsellors launched a business travel subsidiary aimed at supporting the company’s corporate travel agents and building its business travel team.
The TMC also joined the GTMC and was named in the top 20 TMCs in the UK.
