The latest barometer
of Covid sentiment by the German Business Travel Association (VDR) shows that
almost a third of German companies now allow unlimited business travel, almost double
the proportion that did in its last poll four weeks ago.
Some 31 per
cent of companies are allowing travel to happen, up from 17.7 per cent in the
week of 23 August.
One in five
of the companies surveyed said that they expected any restrictions would be
dropped by the end of the first half of 2022, although 65.8 per cent said it
would depend on the pandemic situation.
The survey
also confirmed previous findings that most German companies (more than 60 per cent) believe that the number of business trips in the future will be
30 per cent lower than pre-Covid.
