Omega World Travel has won a £6 million travel management contract with a major German bank.
While the travel management company retained its business with Commerzbank it added the travel spend of Dresdner Bank, acquired by Commerzbank for £10 billion in 2008. Dresdner had previously used Hillgate Travel.
Omega's UK boss Gary Povey insisted the significance of the win could not be underestimated.
Speaking to ABTN at the Business Travel and Meetings Show, he said: "Commerzbank has been an important client for us.
"When the account went out to tender, this time with Dresdner involved, we worked very hard to win the business. We were able to demonstrate that we could provide a value-for-money service and service all of their specific travel requirements."
