Corporate Traveller has teamed up with medical company Doctor Care Anywhere to provide travellers with access to a doctor when they are abroad.
The Flight Centre-owned SME specialist will offer 10,000 of its “Smartfly” customers the ability to use Doctor Care Anywhere services during their business trips.
This will give them access to a UK-trained, English-speaking doctor wherever they are travelling through a consultation delivered via secure video or phone consultation.
The service will be available for the first 10,000 international flights booked by Corporate Traveller clients on Virgin Atlantic (Premium and Upper Class) and Etihad (Business and First Class) from March 1 to May 31.
Graeme Milne, general manager of Corporate Traveller, said: “While abroad many travellers won’t go to a doctor or a hospital for reasons such as language barrier, difficulty navigating a foreign health system or a busy schedule.
“We also recognise that our clients have a duty of care to their travelling employees, are invested in their wellbeing, and benefit from their maintained productivity.
“It’s for these reasons, we want to ensure that our clients have a safe and pleasant experience throughout all aspects of their journey, which is why we are working with Doctor Care Anywhere”.
Medication prescribed by GPs working for Doctor Care Anywhere can be delivered direct to travellers or collected from a local pharmacy.
