Stansted Airport has signed a deal under which passengers can pay £5 to buy tickets to fast track themselves through security.
The agreement is with No. 1Traveller, an award winning airport hospitality company.
A trial of the new deal is due to start at the airport this Thursday (September 8) and is open to any traveller.
Existing fast track schemes at most airports are available to premium travellers or frequent flyers.
Passengers who buy the fast track tickets can also pay for lounge access for an extra £10.
John Farrow, head of terminal at Stansted, said the scheme would enhance travellers’ experience at the airport.
Phil Cameron, No.1 Traveller’s founder and ceo, said:“Our aim is to make every step of the journey as enjoyable as possible and this latest offering means that travellers no longer have to waste valuable time queuing to get through to departures.”
