40% ready to reduce budgets
About 40% of small businesses in the UK are ready to cut their travel budget because of the recession, a new survey has found.
The poll, commissioned by electricity supplier Opus Energy, found that travel and advertising were the two top items that companies planned to reduce.
About one fifth of the questioned companies named these two categories as the most likely to be targeted for cuts.
The survey, carried out by YouGov, questioned 536 senior managers in companies with fewer than 50 employees.
