Sabre has launched “new capabilities” in its RFP solution, designed to “simplify the hotel negotiation and RFP process” for corporate travel managers.
The travel technology provider claims the upgraded solution will increase efficiency for users with an updated hotel directory and new navigation and structure, which Sabre said will “increase the likelihood of hotel response to RFPs”.
It is also offering hotel programme consulting services to travel buyers as an alternative to the self-service systems currently available.
The consultants will assist companies in a range of services including industry rate trends and negotiating corporate hotel programmes on behalf of the company.
“On average, 50 per cent of hotel room nights are still booked outside the managed travel programme, pointing to a significant opportunity for increased cost savings for corporations – effective negotiation is key to controlling these costs,” said Alex Alt, president, Sabre Hospitality Solutions.
“Hotel RFP helps corporate travel managers and travel management companies maximise the value of their hotel spend whether they want hands-on, personal consulting services or the convenience of our self-service online solution.”
