Sabre Travel Network, a Sabre Holdings company, has introduced two new booking tools to the European market
Sabre Air is an enhanced air shopping and pricing platform, which is based on 'open systems' technology to give faster and more accurate fares to agents when booking travel.
Sabre MyFares is the latest fare management system from the company, which allows agencies to load their negotiated rates into the Sabre GDS system.
The new technology reduces the need for airlines to input fares manually and use ATPCO and SITA rules, giving agents the most up-to-date access to fares. Complex itineraries are priced more accurately with the new design, and associated fare rules are displayed simultaneously. Up to 12 templates for different carriers are available, and agents can view and compare the price of travel to different airports in the same city. 'Jump cabin' is another feature of the system, which will display comparable fares for business class when booking economy.
European senior vice-president Richard Adams explained the benefit to travel managers: "Sabre MyFares will be of particular benefit to agents who serve the corporate market, where productivity and customer response times are critical. By combining Sabre MyFares with our leading low fare shopping capabilities, agents have easy access to their preferred content, as well as to the best tools to comparison shop across both
published and private fares."
28,000 agencies throughout Europe have now been converted to Sabre Air following its successful implementation in 27,000 locations in North America.
