Jobs in Europe hit by cuts
Sabre, a major global travel technology company, has announced redundancies at its offices around the world.
One report from Texas, where the company has its headquarters, put the figure at 500.
A UK spokeswoman confirmed the redundancies saying there were "company-wide" and included the UK and continental Europe.
A statement by Sabre put the move down to adverse market conditions.
It said that it was also seeking other cost savings to minimise the affect on its staff.
