STA Travel has joined the GTMC three months after the agency launched a business travel division.
The company, which has traditionally served the student market, unveiled Business Travel by STA Travel in March as it seeks to cater for business travellers aged from 18 to 35.
Harriet Kerr, STA’s business development director, said: “The GTMC has a strong reputation among the business travel community and with the launch of Business Travel by STA Travel it is a great opportunity for us to network with industry peers and gain invaluable contacts through the organisation’s partner portfolio.
“We look forward to working closely with the GTMC to develop our offering for the younger generation of business travellers.”
GTMC chief executive Paul Wait added: “Our own research has shown that it is important to consider the changing needs of the millennial business traveller and what is priority to them in terms of productive yet cost effective travel solutions.
“STA Travel has a strong understanding of this demographic and we look forward to welcoming them to our growing network.”
The GTMC is holding its annual overseas conference in Brussels this weekend (June 5-8).
