Workspace provider Regus has opened its first business centre in Cambodia as part of a major expansion into Asia.
Regus has launched the office in the Cambodian capital of Phnom Penh which extends the company’s global network to 99 countries.
The London-based firm has also started operations in Sri Lanka, Malaysia, Singapore and the Philippines over the last few months.
Mark Dixon, Regus’s chief executive, said: “By launching in Cambodia, Regus is opening doors for both local and international companies, offering them a flexible, low-risk route for growth.
“Our workspace in Phnom Penh will allow businesses to explore the opportunities presented by Cambodia’s flourishing economy without the burden of upfront investment in property or a lease on fixed premises. We believe this is the ideal way for companies to grow in these more challenging economic times.”
Cambodia has been listed by the World Bank as one of the 20 “hottest economies in the world” due to its growth prospects – GDP is expected to rise by 6-7 per cent both this year and in 2013.
