Reed Travel Exhibitions has decided to cancel the Business Travel Market 2013 show which was due to run during World Travel Market in November.
Organiser Reed was planning to run Business Travel Market on November 6-7 at the Excel exhibition centre in east London.
But the company issued a statement today (July 15) saying that it had decided to cancel the show following “consultation with the industry”.
“Due to tough economic conditions putting pressure on customers’ spend and time, we felt it was not possible to deliver an event that would do justice to both the industry and our customers,” said Reed in a statement on the Business Travel Market website.
“We thank all our customers and event partners for their valued support of the Business Travel Market.”
A spokesman for BTM said that Reed had written to exhibitors to explain the situation.
Last year, Business Travel Market ran as a separate two-day event in June at Excel.
