Reed & Mackay has been selected to provide business travel services for members of the UK’s Houses of Parliament.
The London-based TMC, which is part of the TripActions Group, commenced work as the new Parliamentary Travel Office Provider for MPs and members of the House of Lords on 1 December last year.
Reed & Mackay, which won the parliamentary contract after a competitive tender process, is providing an onsite travel office for politicians staffed by the TMC’s consultants, as well as taking bookings through its online and mobile booking platforms.
The contract value is approximately £16 million for the initial three-year term, plus £5.5 million per year during an extension period that could run until 2028. The value is based on pre-Covid travel volumes and includes all travel spend and the cost of the service itself, according to the Houses of Parliament.
A spokesperson for the Houses of Parliament, whose previous travel partner was Corporate Travel Management, told BTN Europe that the Travel Office “provides business and personal travel services to Members of both Houses, their staff and staff of both Houses.”
Fred Stratford, CEO of Reed & Mackay, said: “We are delighted to partner with UK Parliament to deliver corporate travel expertise, cost control solutions and our renowned high-touch service to ensure the members and their staff can travel safely and with confidence.”
