Portman Travel’s CEO Michael Hare has been appointed as chairman of the Radius consortium of global TMCs.
Hare, who was previously chairman of the GTMC until last year, will take over from Bill Tech as Radius’ president but Tech will remain a member of the board.
Portman is a founding member of Radius, which has offices in the US, London, Sao Paulo and Singapore.
Hare said: “Radius is one of the world’s largest and most renowned travel management companies and I am therefore honoured to become chairman.
“I hope to bring new insight and experience to the role and help consolidate Radius’ position as a world class TMC, while also meeting the challenges that continue to face the business traveller.”
Radius’ network covers 3,300 locations across 80 counties and its members manage more than $21 billion of corporate travel spending per year.
