Michael Hare has been appointed to the board of directors of one of the world's largest business travel organisations Radius.
Portman Travel is a founding shareholder of Radius, which counts 90 travel agencies in 80 countries worldwide as members.
With his new role, Hare intends to build on Portman's relationship with Radius, and take the organisation onto its “next phase” of development.
He said: "RADIUS is one of the most prominent travel management company organisations in the world and I am delighted to have been invited to join its board of directors.
“I hope to bring to the board a fresh perspective and insight that will help RADIUS consolidate its current position as a world class TMC while meeting head on the challenges that increasingly face the business traveller.”
Also chairman of the Guild of Travel Management Companies (GTMC), Hare has more than 30 years experience in corporate travel.
