Refining policy and using technology to improve travel programmes will be two of the major themes at the first Buying Business Travel Forum in October.
BBT, with the support of ACTE Global, has taken over the running of the long-running biannual forum for travel buyers from Management Solutions UK Limited, with the first one-day event to be held on October 8 at the Grange City Hotel in London.
The first session entitled Fit for purpose: refining your travel policy will be moderated by BBT editor Paul Revel and feature a panel of buyers who will give their views on how to ensure policies can remain effective, secure higher compliance levels and reduce leakage.
This will be followed by a session on how technology can help buyers manage their programmes through the streamlining of processes and information.
The afternoon session, which will focus on the issue of controlling cost and creating value, explores the best expense management strategies to help buyers to make cost savings as well as increasing visibility, security and compliance.
Revel said: “The forum has been immensely popular with buyers over the years and we feel honoured to take over the running of such an important event.
“We are keeping to the traditional format of the day with a programme which tackles the issues that are of most importance to our readers.”
The forum will also feature a series of networking opportunities throughout the day including coffee breaks, a buffet lunch and a drinks reception after the end of the formal agenda.
