Germany-based corporate travel booking platform Onesto has added more sustainability features through a new partnership with specialist provider Squake.
The deal will allow Onesto clients to see more detailed CO2 emissions data from business trips, as well as being able to compensate for these emissions via certified climate protection projects.
Onesto said in a statement that users would not need any extra plug-ins or installations to take advantage of the new sustainability features, with integration available immediately following activation.
Dominik Palicki, managing director of Onesto, said: "This offer creates real added value for our customers, as they can design business trips even more specifically in terms of sustainability.
“We are working together to develop solutions to transparently display the emissions in the business travel process to specifically control their reduction and to compensate for trips in a climate-friendly way."
Onesto is offering basic and premium versions to customers, with the former providing CO2 data and standard reports. While the premium version offers more flexible calculation methods, detailed reports and a customisable CO2 budget to help reduce emissions when booking.
Philipp von Lamezan, Squake’s CEO and co-founder, added: “The co-operation with Onesto shows how CO2 reporting and reduction can be integrated directly into company processes. With our technology, travellers and companies can not only precisely track their emissions, but also actively control and reduce them.”
