Norwegian has commenced four weekly, direct flights from Gatwick to Singapore in what it claims is the longest route served by a low-cost carrier.
The flight takes 12 hours and 45 minutes, covering 6,764 miles, and is served by a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner. The airline says all seats are equipped with USB ports for charging personal electronic devices, while premium tickets offer passengers cradle seating with extra legroom and lounge access at Gatwick airport.
The route will be delivered by subsidiary Norwegian UK and was launched as the airline announced new flights to Buenos Aires from February 14 2018. Norwegian UK has recently been granted a foreign carrier permit by the US Department of Transportation and plans to expand its offering around the world.
