BTN Europe's highly-anticipated report, Europe's Leading TMCs 2022, is now live online.
The annual report, now in its 26th year, provides an indispensable look at the leading TMCs in the UK, Germany and France and, for the first time, standalone rankings for Spain and Italy.
In total, more than 100 travel management companies, networks and consortia are profiled, while the report also includes analysis of individual markets and the results of comprehensive BTN Europe surveys of both TMCs and of buyers and their views of their travel management partners.
Travel management companies are emerging from two of the most challenging years they are ever likely to face and are now finding their way in an environment of new processes and expectations. This report details how some long-established names were unable to ride out the pandemic's devastation while others have been absorbed by competitors keen to scale up or add a new dimension to their business. Interestingly, the pandemic has also spawned several start-ups while investors do not appear to be shunning the sector.
After another tough year for the travel industry, we took the decision to rank companies based on their combined gross sales figures for the last three years – 2019, 2020 and 2021 – and these figures have only been published for the TMCs that made it on our list of Europe's top TMCs and the organisations appearing on our list of top TMC networks and consortia.
