Ultra-secure online storage company for business travel documents, Omneport, has joined forces with Fisher”s Travel SOS, which provides guides to critical contact information in worldwide destinations, to enhance traveller safety and meet duty of care requirements.
Each of Fisher”s guides gives contact details, locations and opening hours for all local and some national services that may be needed in the event of a crisis or emergency. Omneport provides secure online storage for copies of important business travel documents, as well as passports, itineraries and insurance papers, as back-up files should the originals be misplaced.
Through the joint venture, customers can buy Fisher”s Travel SOS guides and have them automatically delivered as an electronic file to a secure Omneport account, allowing business travellers to retrieve the information even if their belongings are lost or stolen.
”Omneport and Fisher”s Travel SOS are perfect partners,” said Omneport owner, Ledma, managing director, Gulliver Immink. ”Our services offer the business traveller unrivalled safety, security and access to vital travel information when it”s needed most.
”Not only does this bring hassle free peace of mind to the traveller, but an easy and effective way for employers to demonstrate their duty of care.”
Fisher”s Travel SOS publisher, Julian Fisher, added: ”When abroad on business and a problem occurs the most simple of situations can become critical if not dealt with quickly and properly. Having solutions to hand removes vulnerability and uncertainty, which while it could save the business trip or deal, could also quite possibly save a life.”
