The University of York has extended its contract with travel management company NYS Corporate.
The university is one of NYS’ longest standing corporate clients with the relationship stretching back to 1977.
The University ran an extensive tender process for their business travel, which was open to bidders across the EU.
Beginning in December 2015, the highly competitive process spanned an eight month period before NYS Corporate won the contract again in July 2016.
The new contract has now been formalised and is expected to go live in October 2016. The expanded service will be managed by a new account manager, Rebecca Pryjdun, who is currently creating tailor-made training plans for each University department, which will drive higher travel policy compliance and boost savings by introducing key bookers to new tools and improved systems.
“The expansion of the contract provides an exciting opportunity to work with new areas of the University as their travel management portfolio grows,” said Leanne Fowler, sales and marketing director, NYS Corporate.
