The US-based National Business Travel Association has forged a partnership with its Latin American counterpart to develop business travel in South America.
The NBTA has sealed a five-year agreement with ABGEV, the Brazilian Business and Events Travel Association, adding it to its affiliate organizations in Europe, Australasia, Canada and Mexico.
The two organizations already run LACTTE, the Latin American corporate travel trade event, which this year takes place in Sao Paulo on February 20-22.
“NBTA and ABGEV have a successful partnership and are committed to continuing the advancement of travel and meetings management in South America and around the world,” said Mike McCormick, NBTA executive director.
Members from both organizations will be accorded membership in both NBTA and ABGEV. They will also receive discounts for attendance at each other’s events, access to both membership data bases and expanded networking opportunities through each of their web sites.
The Brazilian organization will also use the NBTA’s techonology to revamp its online operations.
