UK-based TMC Meon Valley Travel is returning to its original name of Meon Travel to “reflect its global reach” from 1 February.
The changes will see the company’s business travel operation being rebranded as Meon Travel Management, while its leisure travel agency will be known as Travel With Meon.
The company was originally set up as Meon Travel in 1964 before later becoming Meon Valley Travel but managing director James Beagrie said the current name “felt a little parochial”.
“Having a UK based travel management company on their doorstep is a great asset for our core base of clients, but a significant proportion are not local,” added Beagrie. “Our clients are international and we cover all four corners of the globe, particularly with medical assistance.”
Meon Travel was ranked as the 27th largest TMC in the UK in the list of Europe’s Leading TMCs 2024.
