The Business Travel Association (BTA) has announced technology and payments company Mastercard as its latest industry partner.
Mastercard provides solutions to meet the demands of the Payment Services Directive (PSD2) and Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) using the EMV 3-D Secure payment authentication protocols.
Through the partnership, BTA members will have access to tools and expertise on payments and fraud awareness whilst meeting new regulations.
CEO Clive Wratten commented: “We are pleased to welcome Mastercard to the BTA partnership programme. As we transition into the new SCA enforcement, it is important that TMCs are able to offer clients a user-friendly experience and minimise the friction authentication adds to the checkout process, without compromising security. Our partnership with Mastercard will help our members to achieve this.”
Brooke DiNatale, VP, product management at Mastercard Europe, added: “As an industry partner member of the BTA, we look forward to working closely with travel management companies to improve the business traveller experience by ensuring payments are as seamless as possible.”
