Launched as a result of the tighter restrictions on hand luggage in the UK, Luggageminder aims to help those passing through London on a regular basis who don”t want to carry their luggage back and forth.
The new scheme, which launched on October 2, will collect and store your bags for an indefinite period from anywhere in central London or the Heathrow area, and then deliver them upon your return. They will also wash and iron your clothes and courier your bags worldwide should your plans change. Storage costs ”2 per day for the first bag and ”1 per day for each additional item. There is a however a ”12.50 cost ($23) plus VAT for collection or delivery.
Luggageminder co-founder and managing director Khadine Johnson told ABTN: "With Luggageminder, you can fly with nothing more than your passport in hand, comforted by the knowledge that your belongings are already waiting for you at your hotel and that your clothes are ready to wear.”
