The Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM) has announced that Ian Goldin, formerly a senior figure at the World Bank, will open the Intelligence 2011 conference in April.
During the first plenary session of the event – Thinking Big – Goldin will discuss why corporate travel executives must consider the impact of broader business changes and industry issues.
He will look at the socio-economic factors and industry trends Business travel buyers and managers must be aware of.
Goldin will also talk about the types of business travel suppliers corporate executives will need to work with in the future.
Currently director of the University of Oxford’s influential 21st Century School, Goldin was previously vice president of the World Bank. He has also been CEO of the development Bank of South Africa and an advisor to Nelson Mandela.
The ITM conference will take place from April 5 to 7 at Heythrop Park.
