Former US First Lady Laura Bush is to be a keynote speaker at this year’s GBTA conference in San Diego.
She will follow in her husband George W Bush’s footsteps after he spoke at GBTA’s conference in Boston in July 2012 when another former US President Bill Clinton also give a speech.
Mrs Bush will address an expected 7,000 delegates on August 6 at the San Diego Convention Centre. She has become known in the US for campaigning on issues such as education, healthcare and human rights.
GBTA said it would be announcing further speakers in the coming weeks for the event which runs from August 4-7.
