Ian Windsor today (October 1) took over as the new managing director of Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) UK.
He takes over from Peter Kite who moves to a new post at the travel management company.
Mr Windsor will retain his existing role as managing director for multi-national client services across Europe. He joined HRG in 1976 as a trainee and has held various posts including head of client services. In 2006 he was appointed operations director for Europe and promoted the following year to his current role.
In his new role he will report to Kevin Ruffles, HRG”s president Europe and Asia Pacific.
Mr Kite joined HRG as a business travel consultant in 1969 and has worked in various management positions. These include director of client services UK before taking up his position as managing director UK.
Mr Ruffles said: ”As part of HRG”s management succession plan, Ian has increasingly worked alongside Peter to benefit from his extensive UK experience.
”Having been with the company for more than 30 years, Ian has developed an excellent track record. He has a sound operational background in both the UK and Europe and a first class understanding of clients” requirements.”
He said of Mr Kite: ”In his 40 years with us he has been a great motivator and people manager and has been instrumental in HRG”s successful development both in the UK and Europe.”
