IT company KDS has launched its annual T&E Survey claiming that staff often "give up" on the process of expenses claims.
It said that claiming expenses was traditionally seen as a "chore."
Yves Weisselberger, the Paris-based company's ceo, said: "One of the areas the survey looks at very closely is expense management.
"Making expense claims has traditionally been a chore that nobody enjoys.
"It's very common for staff to give up on the process and effectively subsidise their employer by not making complete claims.
"We want to know how we can make the whole T&E process quicker and easier for everyone."
Dean Forbes, KDS's executive VP for worldwide sales and marketing, said the 2010 survey will study every aspect of the "business travel experience."
He added: "There's not a CFO in the world who isn't eager to reduce company spend right now, and T&E normally represents 2-8% of a company's turnover.
"We want to help those CFOs achieve their goals, and this survey will give us some very valuable research into that process."
KDS is sending the survey questionnaire to both business travellers and bookers.
