"Total" solution proving a success
Software company KDS today (June 23) claimed to have pioneered total travel and expense (T&E) management with the launch of two enhancements to its current solution.
KDS said its Total Travel module allows a corporate client to book travel online with assistance from a travel agent.
The second module called Invoice Reconciliation automatically matches invoiced costs against trip data, with all costs contained on one database.
The new solution is already being rolled-out to clients. KDS said its "soft launch" was already proving a success.
KDS hopes its new "total" solution will allow corporate travellers and employers to tailor expenses according to any booking.
Yves Weisselberger, KDS' ceo, said: "Customers using our systems have always been able to achieve significant costs savings but these new modules represent a T&E industry first.
"Now, unless you are booking a private jet, there is virtually no opportunity to circumvent the system.
"Employers can reap the rewards of lower spending and improved cost analysis, while travellers can be sure that even their most complex travel bookings are handled quickly and efficiently."
Mr Weisselberger said the new system would go some way to achieving the "holy grail" of 100% adoption of its T&E system.
He added: "The comprehensiveness of KDS Corporate makes it far easier for organisations to mandate the use of the system for all bookings.
"This in turn opens the door to far greater savings, which is welcome news in the current economic climate."
Mr Weisselberger admitted that adoption was currently at around 25%, but would grow rapidly. He said 100% adoption was "within reach."
