Business Travel News (BTN) is delighted to have received the Editorial Team of the Year accolade at the Business Travel Journalism Awards 2020.
The annual awards, organised by CWT and taking place for the 17th consecutive year, celebrate the best of business travel and events journalism and recognise individuals and teams across ten categories.
Winners were selected by a judging panel of industry experts, business owners and respected journalists.
Judges praised the BTN team across the US and Europe for the launch of new products, expanded content and increased engagement with its audience.
“That’s testament to a dynamic editorial team with a challenger mentality committed to evolving and growing the BTN proposition and relevancy,” said the judges. “A great pivot around Covid-19.”
In addition, Andy Hoskins, editor-in-chief of BTN Europe, was named Editor of the Year.
The judges said the significant increase in web traffic at businesstravelnewseurope.com “demonstrates Andy’s tenacity to seize opportunities”.
They also praised the introduction of new digital products, a series of analytical articles and a number of technical enhancements. “Really solid work at a tough time.”
BTN Europe digital editor, Molly Dyson, who is currently on maternity leave, was shortlisted in the Best Newcomer category and regular BTN contributor Amon Cohen in the Industry Trends and Technology feature categories.
Instead of the usual black tie dinner, winners were revealed through a series of announcements on social media channels this morning.
