An Irish travel management company (TMC) has joined global agency consortium, Travel Solutions International (TSI).
World Travel Centre, which has offices in both Dublin and Belfast, is the latest of a number TMCs to join the global network.
Aidan Coghlan, WTC’s managing director, said: “[We] were attracted to TSI as membership allows us to retain our local independence whilst, at the same time, be part of a professional global organisation.
“The potential of our combined technologies is enormous.”
The members of the TSI alliance work together to serve each others clients locally by sharing fares and hotel inventory.
WTC was established in 1990 and has both corporate and leisure travel divisions and a fare consolidation arm.
Mervyn Williamson, managing director of Statesman Travel, a leading member of the consortium, said: “TSI wants to appoint a limited number of partners in specific global markets and Ireland is a fast developing region for corporate travel.
“WTC’s technological expertise allows us to offer more competitively priced euro air fares to our multi-national customers.”
TSI’s has recently enlisted partners in India (etravelvalue), Brazil (Globalis Viagens), Philippines (The Flight Shop) and New Zealand (North Shore Business Travel).
Note: TSI is continually striving to develop its network in key European countries. If you are a travel management company and would like more information, please contact Hazel Dawson on [email protected]
