The Institute of Travel and Meetings’ (ITM) Jamie Hindhaugh is to stay in the role of chairman until April.
The head of production 2012 for the BBC was due to hand over the reins in January.
Instead, Nicola Lomas, director of corporate travel services for Omnicom, will take over as chair at ITM’s annual conference on April 26.
The conference, entitled Intelligence 2012, will take place from April 24 to 26 at the Palace Hotel in Manchester.
Lomas said the shuffle in dates would mean an easier start to her term as chair: “We saw an opportunity to align the chairman’s term with the conference dates and ensure a smooth handover.”
In other news from ITM, incoming CEO Simone Buckley has now joined the association and started a two-month handover process with Paul Tilstone, the outgoing CEO who departs on December 31.
