BSI’s Trevor Elswood and the Business Travel and Meetings Show’s David Chapple are among five new directors at the Institute of Travel and Meetings (ITM).
Elswood, group managing director of Capita and BSI, has joined the board as one of ITM’s supplier directors, as has Anthony Coyle-Dowling, global director of sales for Zibrant.
Chapple, event director at BTMS, is now on the board as an associate director, as is Tracy Woods, Travelport’s director of strategic corporate development.
Taking over as the new ITM buyer director is Robbie Hughes, travel and expense manager for Salesforce.com.
Nicola Lomas, ITM’s vice-chair, said there had been a “great response” to the call for applicants made at ITM’s annual conference in April.
“The interview panel was delighted that every candidate we were presented with had something to offer ITM and the wider industry,” she said.
“Our choice adds increased diversity of experience and perspective to the board and that’s what has always made the ITM board such a successful and rewarding body.”
The new directors replace those that have completed their term on the board, including Jon Reeve, Evolvi’s trade relations director, and Nicola Spence, Balfour Beatty’s travel category manager.
The new directors will start their initial two-year terms after the ITM board meeting on July 13.
