The UK Government has
changed the rules for seafarers arriving in England from red list countries.
As from 4am on
Friday 19 March, seafarers may enter the UK and do not need to quarantine in a
government-approved hotel or take a coronavirus test on day two and day eight, even
if they have been in any country on the travel ban red list in the previous ten
days.
Seafarers who
normally live in the UK do not need to self-isolate but those who usually live
overseas must self-isolate in their accommodation while in England, except when
they are undertaking the exempt activity or travelling as part of their work.
Other jobs are also exempt from quarantine regulations.
