Hillgate Travel has secured a multi-million pound contract with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).
The travel management company signed the five-year deal earlier this month.
The ERBD was founded in 1991 with an aim to promote both private and entrepreneurial initiatives in central and Eastern Europe and to “foster the transition” towards open market orientated companies.
Hillgate Travel partnered with online booking tool provider Get There to offer a solution that would “best suit ERBD’s requirements”.
“Hillgate Travel already has an excellent reputation in the financial services sector and to add such a prestigious account to our portfolio is very exciting for us.” Said Hillgate’s director of sales and marketing," Warren Dix.
“The bid process with EBRD was one of the most rigorous processes that I have experienced during my time in travel management. When it came to our presenting technology the testing and enquiry phase was the most stringent I have encountered,” he added.
Fabrice Martinez, head of travel unit, EBRD, said: “The Hillgate team impressed us with their depth of knowledge, commitment to excellence and total flexibility to provide a range of solutions to any requirement presented to them.”
The account will be serviced by Hillgate Travel through a dedicate EBRD travel team and the contract has a 5-year term.
