Hillgate Travel has secured a four-year deal to manage travel for the European Medicines Agency (EMA).
Under the contract, the London-based TMC will provide a pan-European travel service for EMA’s employees and delegates.
EMA is a decentralised European Union agency, based in London, which is responsible for evaluating new medicines developed by pharmaceutical companies for use within Europe.
Hillgate called the contract a “significant win” and added that it will set up a dedicated team for EMA at its London office.
Anthony Rissbrook (pictured), Hillgate’s managing director, said: “Our appointment to manage this highly prestigious account builds on an extremely positive start to 2013, where we have seen growth from our existing customer base and through new client acquisition.”
Dr Sylvie Bénéfice, EMA’s meeting and conference management sector, added: “The flexibility and experience that Hillgate Travel offers, coupled with their consultative approach to change management, meant that they stood apart from the competition.”
