HRG’s former group commercial director Stewart Harvey is to join fellow business travel giant BCD Travel as president of the EMEA region.
Harvey, who left HRG in February after 25 years with the company, will replace BCD’s current EMEA president Ilona De March, who is leaving the TMC after 13 years.
“BCD stakes its brand and its reputation on being a trusted adviser to its clients at every level of the organisation. It’s a true global player that’s poised for continued growth, and I’m excited to play a part in its development,” said Harvey.
He will join BCD’s global executive team, headed by CEO John Snyder, alongside the company’s three other regional presidents: Mike Walley for the UK and Ireland, Mike Janssen for the Americas and Greg O’Neil for Asia Pacific.
Harvey will join BCD when he has “fulfilled his contractual obligation to HRG” but no starting date has yet been announced. He will have full operational and financial responsibility across the EMEA region once he takes up his new role.
“EMEA is key to our overall success,” added Snyder. “It’s a region in which we service many of our largest multinational clients, and it’s home to a number of exciting initiatives that we’re undertaking in partnership with those customers.
