Hotel booking specialist HRS is targeting the Chinese inbound market by identifying European properties which are set up to cater for their needs.
The German company has created a China Friendly Hotel seal for properties which offer services aimed at Chinese guests.
These facilities include rooms with a kettle and an adapter for Chinese electrical appliances, on-site information in Mandarin, Asian-orientated food and drink, and allowing payment via China Union Pay, which is China’s only credit card company.
The China Friendly Hotel seal is displayed in the hotels list on HRS's Chinese website.
Tobias Ragge, CEO of HRS (pictured), said: “We have seen a significant increase in the number of bookings made in China.
“European hotels should gear themselves towards the special requirements of this growing group of travellers, which generate high revenues, in order to attract new guests and increase their occupancy rates.
“The seal enables them to specifically target Chinese travellers, thereby generating more interest. We know that many Chinese travellers only have a limited amount of time available for their trip to Europe, and they want to get the most out of this. The seal therefore provides a quick and easy guide for them."
