Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) is showcasing its travel and security alerts system, enhanced HRG Online and ”green” initiatives at the Business Travel Show 2007. The new alerts service is powered by red24, and uses a live feed to inform clients, travellers and travel managers of the latest travel and security updates worldwide via email and text messaging. The company plans to integrate the service into HRG Online and HRG Portal, and it can currently be used in conjunction with its people-tracking solution HRG Travel Watch.
New features to HRG Online, the company”s self-service reservation tool, include the ability to ”waitlist” flights and identify ”green” hotels that comply with ISO environmental policies.
In response to the increasing demand for ”green” initiatives for travel, the company will introduce a CO2 calculator to calculate the amount of emissions in any single or return flight. HRG will also improve its online reporting tool to include the traveller”s mileage and CO2 emissions.
