The Hogg Robinson Group (HRG) has restructured its European operation with the appointment of four managing directors.
Under the new set up Hans Holmen, previously managing director of HRG Nordic and based in Stockholm, will head Europe North, Beat Bürer, ex-managing director for HRG Switzerland and based in Zurich, will be in charge of Europe Central and Peter Kite, formerly managing director of the UK and based in Farnborough, takes over in Europe West.
The fourth appointment is Ian Windsor, previously operations director Europe and also based in Farnborough, who becomes managing director of Europe Multinational Services covering all HRG's key managed clients in the continent.
HRG, one of the largest travel management companies in the world, said the aim of the restructuring was to provide clients with seamless service on a Europe-wide basis.
Reto Bacher, HRG's regional president in Europe, said: "Providing our clients with a truly seamless operation in Europe is something that we've been planning for some time.
"The restructure allows us to further break down the barriers to business that can sometimes exist between countries.
"This European initiative follows the successful integration last year of HRG's operations in the United States and Canada to form HRG North America."
Mr Bacher said HRG had also developed in house a new technology platform, HRG Universal Super Platform (USP).
He said HRG USP provided the "flexibility required to meet specific client needs while also delivering the benefits of global coverage and consistent standards."
* HRG also announced that Israeli agency Lachish Tours and travel Ltd. had joined it as its exclusive partner in Israel. It will trade as HRG Israel with immediate effect.
Lachish, based in Tel Aviv but with offices in Ashdod, Jerusalem and Haifa, was founded in1979 and is one of the leading TMCs in the country. Uri Alperovitz, Lachish's general manager, said: "Joining the HRG worldwide network helps us maintain our position as one of Israel's premier TMCs and gives us access to HRG's extensive range of products, services and global capabilities."
