HRG Germany has won a contract to manage the travel spend of German car manufacturer Volkswagen.
In a statement released by HRG, the travel management company (TMC) said it would service all the brands and holding companies within the Volkswagen Aktiengesellschaft Group from October 1.
HRG said the group had 175,000 employees, but did not reveal how many staff travelled on a regular basis.
HRG's claimed that Volkswagen was attracted by the price-benefit ratio it offered.
Mathias Warns, HRG Germany's managing director, said winning the VW Group's travel budget contract was a result of a concept his company has been developing for two years.
"The range of travel services is becoming increasingly complex. At the same time, companies' requirements are increasing as they endeavour to optimise their entire corporate travel process.
"This integrated approach makes working with a professional corporate travel services company a strategic investment in the future."
