Match Hospitality, which manages, produces and sells corporate
hospitality programmes for sporting events around the world, including the FIFA World Cup and Euro 2020, has appointed Gray
Dawes Travel to handle its travel requirements following a competitive tender.
The travel management company, which last year launched a
specialist sports division, has created bespoke APIs to connect it with Match and
various airlines to allow group booking and reporting.
Match Hospitality executive chairman, Jaime Byrom, said,
“Gray Dawes Travel were the clear winner and an ideal partner for us. Their
reputation for outstanding personal service and business travel expertise is
well known; however, it was their commitment to collaboration – not just with
us but with the various airlines involved in international sporting events -
which really impressed us.”
David Bishop, Gray Dawes’ chief commercial officer, said, “We’ve
developed and established an innovative reattachment infrastructure which
[paves] the way for future collaboration across a wide
range of international sporting events.”
Match Hospitality was founded in 2007 and is based in
Zurich, Switzerland, with offices in London, Moscow, Manchester, Doha,
Johannesburg, Rio de Janeiro, Barcelona, Dublin, and Valencia.
