GTMC is to hold its annual overseas conference in Monaco this year as the organisation celebrates its 50th anniversary.
The conference will be held in Monte Carlo from June 4-6 and will feature a two-day programme of speakers and events held in association with headline sponsor Easyjet.
The impact of Brexit on business travel will be one of the main topics of discussion during the first day of the conference on June 5 with Tim Montgomerie, from The Times, and economist Gerard Lyons due to speak.
A gala celebration will also be held that evening to celebrate the GTMC’s anniversary.
The second day’s conference sessions will examine the future of the sector led by futurologist Rohit Talwar.
Paul Wait, chief executive of the GTMC said: “We’ll be using this year’s event not only to celebrate but also to review some of the biggest learnings from the last few decades and, more importantly, to discuss future trends.
“We have invested in developing a programme for the conference that is not only reflective but thought-provoking with a focus on current trends and issues and we look forward to a debate-filled programme that I hope will influence the way we travel for business over the coming 50 years.”
